Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to receive free training in Agile and Scrum, worth over $1,000 per person!

Agile Aces is offering FREE two day workshops (worth more than $1,000) on Agile and Scrum Foundations (weekdays and weekends) throughout September in Wayne and Media, PA! These are the dates:

·         Monday, September 11th and Tuesday, September 12th in Media,

·         Saturday, September 16th and Sunday, September 17th in Media, and

·         Thursday, September 21st and Friday, September 22nd in Wayne.

This course is essentially a non-Certified ScrumMaster course in that the material is similarly comprehensive to the CSM course, but without the credential. The material covered is quite extensive, which is why we need two days for the course. The course provides a strong foundation of Agile and Scrum, and it also explores some of these concepts at a more detailed level (e.g. user stories, estimating, product backlog grooming, etc).

You will learn how utilizing the Scrum Framework can significantly improve the quality of your projects, increase customer value and your company’s ROI, reduce time to implement and deliver your projects, and even improve the morale and satisfaction of your employees.

Our instructor has over 20 years of experience as a Project Manager and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).

A FREE lunch will be served on the second day of the workshop. And one lucky participant from each workshop will receive a FREE 2 Day Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Course, worth up to $1,300! Full 2 Day participation is required.

Ask people about themselves. Most people love to talk about themselves. Some good icebreakers are:

·         What do you do for work?

·         What company do you work for?

·         How did you hear about this event?

·         Do you belong to other meetup groups?

·         Is this the first time you have been to a meetup?

·         What town are you from?

How to use icebreakers:

First, start with smiling, everyone likes a friendly face, then find someone new that is standing alone or with just one other person. Unless you are really brave, it’s too hard to introduce yourself to a whole group of people. Second, say hi. A simple “Hello, I’m Jennifer” will get the ball rolling. They will most likely intoduce themselves to you. Third, use an icebreaker from above. Once they have given their answer then bond with the new person or persons over something similar. If you ask them what they do for work and they say they are a developer, and you are one too, let them know it. Or if you ask them where they work and they say XYZ software, and you know someone who works there, let them know. The more things in common others have with you, the more likely they will open up to you and continue the conversation. The key is to find common ground. After some more conversation, ask them if they would like to exchange business cards. If you do not have a business card, get ones made, even if you are unemployed and looking for work, you can list your skills and a way to contact you. Also ask them if they would like to network on Linkedin. The worst thing they can say is no. After this excuse yourself and find another person or two that looks interesting. Now get out there and meet someone new!
